Fullerton Loop West of Bragg Creek
On Monday, May 8, all Grade 5 students participated in a day hike to Fullerton Loop West of Bragg Creek. Students competed the 7.5 km hike with smiles on their faces, did some great learning outdoors and hopefully slept well on Monday night.
The Outdoor Adventure students are getting ready for their big overnight trips of the year heading out to Sandy McNabb Provincial Park on May 17-18 and then May 18-19. Mr. Campbell has been very busy organizing all of the logistics and needs to be commended for his ambitious efforts as this will be the first time we have offered overnight camping in tents for our grade 4,5 and 6 students.
And finally, the Outdoor Leadership students are off Monday and Tuesday of next week snowshoeing into Elk Lakes hut just inside the BC provincial boundary. This will be the first time many students have ever stayed in a backcountry hut and we’re hoping that it turns out to be a wonderful experience.
As always, we would like to thank all of the teacher and parent volunteers who join us with these adventures and to our administration for supporting our endeavors. Without your continued support, these opportunities would not exist.
Until next time, Happy Adventures!
