5K February 2nd

Happy Groundhog Day!

Our good-old-fashioned Read-A-Thon is underway! Please help students seek out pledges to help raise funds for Westmount. Students will have the month of February to meet their goals! They will also receive Calgary Flames hockey cards for every 100 minutes that they read!

We will have a Multiplication (2-digit by 2-digit) test next week (Tuesday or Wednesday). All students will benefit from some practice over the weekend! Times tables will be allowed, and students will be able to use the strategy that they feel most comfortable with.

Friday of next week we will be holding the DARE grad in the morning in the Learning Commons. Parents are welcome to join us - email for more info.

We are also holding a Winter Walk next Wednesday to build connections with our Colour Groups and between the various grades within our Westmount community! It might be chilly but it will be fun!

Monday is the big COP ski/snowboard trip! Please remember it is crucial that students arrive on time Monday morning if they are going! It will be a regular school day for the remaining students. Remember that epi-pens and inhalers are REQUIRED items for all students that are known to need them, and will result in students missing the trip if they are not prepared with those items. Electronic devices (ie. phones) are not permitted on OE trips, and will be confiscated at the outset, to be returned when we get back to school.

Students are to leave all electronics at home!!! Do not bring any phones, ipods, ipads or any electronics as the school will not be responsible for any lost or damaged devices.
