Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! We had a great last day of school today. We spent some time outside examining the snow up close with magnifying glasses, and buildling some pretty impressive snow mountains. Students gave their reindeer candy cane crafts to their grade 4 buddies for Christmas, and the grade 4's wrote books for the kindergarten students! I hope you get a chance to read the story that your child's buddy wrote, they worked really hard on them! Students brought home gifts from myself, Mrs. O'Brien, and Mrs. George, as well as Christmas tree decorations that they made and painted themselves. Please make sure you find and hang these ornaments, as they are quite fragile.
Thank you so much to everyone for the wonderful and thoughtful Christmas gifts that the students gave me today, I was really touched by all of the gifts and it was very generous. I will be sending out personal thank you's a bit later in the holiday!
I hope everyone has a peaceful and relaxing winter break, full of family, friends, and fresh air.
See everyone in the New Year. Our first day back in kindergarten is Tuesday, January 9.
