3W News December 13

Good Evening 3W Parents,

Dec. 22 will be a PJ day for our class. We are looking for a Christmas movie to watch throughout next week (here and there/over lunch/at our party on the 22nd). If you have any we could borrow please send them in ASAP (must be rated G).

Tomorrow night the students need to arrive in costume at 6:30 for the Christmas concert.  Students are to come in the front door with their parents when the doors open at 6:30.  They are to go to their classrooms immediately while you are getting seated in the gym.  Grade three Mice only need to stop at the music room and pick up your swords from Mrs. Jone and then continue to your classroom.  It is very important that those who come in borrowed costumes, bring a change of clothing to go home in, as they will be required to leave their borrowed costumes with Mrs. Jones after the show.  The program is about an hour long and it is great!  See you there.

Morning Greeters: - Please come to Ms. Hollingsworth’s room (203) on Wednesday, December 20th at 8:15 am, for a brief meeting. Mrs. Wurz and Ms. Hollingsworth will see you there!

New Raz Kids log in cards will come home soon! The printer was malfunctioning for me today, so I did not get them sent out.

We have been reviewing our knowledge of addition strategies and subtraction strategies (continuing next week) in order to become faster at basic facts.  After the break our focus will be on addtion and subtraction of two and three digit numbers, with re-grouping.

Science - Students will complete rock testing this week and we will be reviewing how we use rocks and minerals everyday. We will begin a new unit in January!

This Friday is Festive Day.  Students may wear anything festive including Santa Hats, ugly sweaters etc.  Hot Dog Friday!

Santa’s Elves have come to Westmount School! Keep your eyes out for the 24 Elves who are looking for special characteristics of Westmount Boys and Girls! The Elves are hidden throughout the school, watching to see who is naughty or nice!
