3W News Dec. 7 Day 2

Hello Parents/Guardians of 3W,

It has been a very fun week in Grade 3! We flew to New Dehli, India and have begun our journey learning about this interesting country in Social Studies. We visited the craft fair and the Grade 4 museum. We also began a new recess schedule where K-3 plays together at our regular times, and Grades 4-6 plays together at a different time. The students have been enjoying having fewer students outside. I have heard many positive things about how they find it easier to find find friends and they are feeling like they are getting more turns on the popular equipment. Just a reminder to please send your child to school with a coat and layers as the weather seems to change often! :)

A reminder to please sign the blue folder, and send the blue folder and brown envelope back to school on Monday.  The papers inside are yours to keep!

Please check the lost and found as items are being donated VERY soon and it is VERY full!  It is at the front of the school.

Upcoming Events:

Thursday, December 7: Hotdog day.

Friday, December 8: PD Day for Teachers, no school for students

Monday, December 11 – Library book exchange

3W will be having Christmas concert rehearsals in the afternoons of Dec. 12 and 14, please let me know in advance if your child will be absent.

We have our Christmas Concert next Thursday, Dec. 14 - 7:00-8:30. Students need to come to our classroom at 6:30 in costume.

Friday, December 15:  It's Festive Day, which means students are encouraged to wear any winter holiday type apparel: Santa hats, Christmas PJs, sweaters, etc.  Students will earn points for their colour team by wearing festive attire.  It is also hotdog day.

Friday, December 22: 3 W Christmas Party in the morning, Early dismissal at 12:15 for Christmas break, PJ Day if students choose!

Monday, January 8:  First day of school after the Christmas holidays.

A reminder for those who utilize breakfast club regularly or from time to time: please remember that if you are late coming to school, the breakfast club does not serve past 8:25 so that the volunteers have enough time to clean up and get to class. Please arrive between 8:00 and 8:25 in order to be served.

Happy Thursday!
