Belove is the letter and costume list from Mrs. Jones:
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Our students have been working hard with their recent Christmas Concert preparations! As a reminder, our school Christmas concerts will be held on Dec. 13 and 14th from 7:00- 8:30 pm at Westmount School. Here is the schedule once again below:
Wednesday, December 13, 7:00-8:30 PM: Westmount Christmas Concert 1 (Classes: 1P, 2N, 3S, 3E, 4M, 5H, 5N, and all Ms. New Kindergarten Students)
Thursday, December 14, 7:00 – 8:30 PM: Westmount Christmas Concert 2 (1M, 1D, 2W, 3W, 4C, 4E, 5K, 5M and all Ms. Campbell's Kindergarten Students)
Last week on Friday, I had the opportunity to distribute roles for everyone in grade 3. Your child will be performing in a mini version of the Nutcracker Suite. The song is an interactive song that involves many of the characters who are found within the nutcracker story. Students had the chance in class on Friday last week to put down their name under a few character spots that they were interested in potentially dressing up as for their song.
I made it very clear to students that dressing up is of course OPTIONAL, meaning, if families or students prefer not not to dress up, that is completely fine. The student will come in regular Christmas Concert attire if this is their choice. If a student was NOT interested, they shared this with me on Friday. Names were drawn out of a hat if there were too many people interested in a particular role. I have attached the names of each role below and what role your child has been chosen for!
Dressing up is a fun opportunity for children to partake in. I was only able to purchase a few small costume pieces for the roles of Candy Canes, the prince and a few toys as my budget is limited. Students are encouraged to have some fun with the role they have been chosen for; their costume can be as simple or elaborate as they would like. If your child would like a suggestion for their costume, or has a concern about their costume, please have them come see me or parents, please feel free to email me anytime at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Parents/ guardians, if you happen to have any costumes that might work for any of the characters on the sheet and you are willing to allow the school to borrow them, please feel free to send me an email at email@example.com
Thank you so much for your assistance and please email me if you have any questions!
