Christmas Concert UPDATE:

This year, the Elementary classes will perform their Christmas Concert on December 13 and 14, while Grade 6 – 9 Band Students will perform at their own Band Christmas Concert on December 7.

This change allows for families to attend at one start time each night, rather than split the families by alphabet as in previous years.

Thursday, December 7: Christmas Band Concert, Grades 6-9 Band Students

Wednesday, December 13, 7:00-8:30 PM: Westmount Christmas Concert 1 (Classes: 1P, 2N, 3S, 3E, 4M, 5H, 5N, and all Ms. New Kindergarten Students)

Thursday, December 14, 7:00 – 8:30 PM: Westmount Christmas Concert 2 (1M, 1D, 2W, 3W, 4C, 4E, 5K, 5M and all Ms. Campbell's Kindergarten Students)

At the front of the school, the lost and found will be on display from today, October 23, to Friday, October 27.  Please have your student check the items, or drop in to view them yourself. Remaining items will be bagged at the end of the day, Friday, October 27.

Your child should have also brought home a BLUE duo-tang called "Term 1 Targets." This duo-tang is where we keep quizzes, tests, rubrics, and other assessment data that does not fit will in our Wolf Track Portfolio (visual journal). Please read over the social quiz with them, sign it, and have them return it to school ASAP. This duo-tang NEEDS to be passed between home and school to help ensure communication. I always require it back at school (unless the term is over - then it will be sent home for good!). Please email me if you have any questions or concerns!

Math --> We will have a short patterning test on Thursday/Friday this week (depending on how our week goes!). We have worked hard in class to learn our patterning targets so studying is not required. If your student demonstrates trouble with this task, we will be in touch or you will notice when it is sent home in the blue duo-tang Term 1 Tartgets next week.

We have been learning to skip count by 25s to 1,000. Ask your child if they are able to do this and what pattern they notice in the numbers! If they are not sure, you can practice this at home. They should also know that a quarter is worth 25 cents.

Enjoy your day,

Mrs. Wurz
