Kindergarten October 10

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Today, students had music and gym in the morning.  This afternoon, we went on our first nature walk to the storm ponds nearby.  Students enjoyed walking to a new place, and we saw ducks on the pond!  Students gathered and sorted leaves on our walk.  We also learned about the letter "P" today.  Ask your child what words start with "P"!  Our grade 8 leadership students, Lauryn and Brooklyn, built us a new workbench for play time, and students also got to try out our new dress-up center!

We have 3 days of kindergarten this week, as we have school on Friday!  Friday is also our Walkathon, when we will be going for a walk around our neighbourhood to raise money for Westmount.  Students brought home pledge forms tonight, which are due back by Friday.

We have library again this Thursday, so library books are due back then!

Upcoming Events:

Thursday, October 12: Library books due back.

Friday, October 13: We have school this day!  It will also be hotdog day: students can bring $5 to purchase a hotdog, chips, and a drink, which are delivered at lunch.  Students still need two healthy snacks, for the morning and afternoon.

Westmount Walkathon. Pledge forms are due.
