3W News: Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 Day 2

Good Morning 3W Families,

PLEASE ensure your child has his/her NAME inside of their winter boots. There have been a few issues with students wearing the incorrect pair of boots.

We will have library tomorrow, please help your child remember to return his/her book if thye wish to have a new one for Thanksgiving weekend.

Raz Kids should be up and running soon. It appears that it is still NOT working.

No School this Friday, October 6th or Monday, October 9th for Thanksgiving Long Weekend. Hot Dog Thursday this week (October 5th).

Picture retakes are October 26th for anyone who is interested.

October Book Orders will be sent home this week and are due October 19th. September book orders have been ordered and should be here within one week (late this week or early next week).

A reminder that a pledge sheet and letter were sent home for our Walk-a-thon! Last year, the walk-a-thon helped pay for rocks and rings, along with a lot of other initiatives around the school. On Friday October 13, 2017 at 2:00 the entire Westmount Wolfpack will work together through positive teamwork to achieve a goal that we could not have done alone…Students will be walking in their colour groups, so if you plan to join us please ask your children if they remember or know their colour group! We will review them next week.

We are having our annual Westmount Walk-A-Thon!  As a 7 Habits school, we will work together to raise money for our school year expenses.  Funds raised will be allocated as needed to all grade groups. Students will require their school permission walking trip form returned by Thursday October 12, 2017 to walk along the Okotoks pathways with their classmates.  We will look for pledges to help with our fundraising goals. Pledge forms will be sent home Monday October 2, 2017.  Please remind your student to dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes. We welcome your participation in the Westmount Walk-A-Thon as we continue this Wolfpack tradition.

Yours in education,

Mrs. Wurz
