Students work together to build a giant snowball.Students work together to build a giant snowball.

Today we read a story about a turkey who didn't want to become Thanksgiving dinner.  Ask your child how he managed to escape!  We also learned to make Mat Man, a human figure that uses all the lines needed to write letters.  Students practiced drawing people that included all the important body parts.  We spent a bunch of time outside this afternoon, visiting our special spots in the snow, using our See-Think-Wonder thinking strategy to investigate snow, playing a lively game of "Fox and Turkeys", and using team work skills to build tall structures out of snow.

This Thursday is library day.  Please send in any library books that have not already been returned.

Friday, October 13 is the annual Westmount Walkathon, and our class will be participating. As a 7 Habits school, we will work together to raise money for our school year expenses.  Funds raised will be allocated as needed to all grade groups.

Upcoming Events:

Thursday, October 5: Library books due back.

October 6-9: Thanksgiving Long Weekend.  School will be closed.
