We had a fire drill this afternoon, the students did very well as quietly and calmly getting out of the school.

Scholastic book orders are due on Monday, October 2nd.

Hot dog lunch is on Friday.

Orange Shirt Day is Friday as well.  This event is to honour the survivors and lost children of residential schools. We would like to see all of our students wearing Orange Shirts on this day. Orange Shirt Day is also an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come.

Sparks will be starting soon!

Thank you for your diligence in returning selection forms.  We worked hard to get all students into Sparks from their list of 5.  Some of the options were very popular and we added additional sections, yet unfortunately we still could not accommodate all students into their first and second choices.  Outdoor adventures drew many more than we could accommodate with 3 sections offered, so the first thing we did was draw names for OA.  After that, Mrs. Glaicar worked hard to accommodate requests.  Our teacher team is excited to be exploring passion areas with our students.

Question of the day for the students to answer and bring in their answer to me:  What is the name of the tree that has bark that can provide sun protection?

Thank you for reading the blog,
