We had another busy day, with both music and gym today. We read a story about colours in the garden, and students were very good at knowing their colours and their fruits and vegetables! We also read part of "The Day the Crayons Quit". We read a letter from red crayon - ask your child why red crayon was so upset! We did a red page in our visual journals, and spotted as many colours as we could at our special spots outside.
I have a request to please label your child's clothing whenever possible. We have already had a few unclaimed articles left behind in our classroom, and labels make it easier to find their owners. I currently have a jean jacket and hoody that says "Find Your Own Way". Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if either of these items belongs to your child, and I will make sure it goes home in their backpack on Thursday.
Thursday, September 21 (4-5 pm): Meet the Teacher Night (well, afternoon). Come on by to say hi and see what your child has been busy doing so far in kindergarten.
Friday, September 22: PD Day (no school for all students)
